Just a note to say thank you for supplying me the new orthotics which immediately provided a noticeable improvement.
Before visiting your clinic I suffered pain in my left knee, requiring a knee support, and some pain in my left ankle, which made it quite difficult to walk any distance.
Since you supplied the new orthotics which has now enabled me to walk comfortably and without a knee support.
I was very impressed with the professionalism and friendly attitude I received from your practice, from the initial consultation through the process of accessing my needs, designing, supplying the orthotics and the follow up appointment.
I just want to express my gratitude and appreciation of the quality of service provided.
After suffering with Plantar Fasciitis for some time I decided I needed to do something about it as the pain was crippling.
I visited the clinic and the Podiatrist Toby, who suggested made-to-measure orthotic insoles, as the problem was so acute and stretching exercises were not helping.
Now the pain has completely gone, no more hobbling about in agony.
You asked me to let you know how I am progressing with the arch supports you fitted for me two months ago.
The background to this was that I had used custom made arch supports for many years, but over a long period walking was becoming difficult, with pain in both feet and ankles. I put this down to arthritis so did not expect a new prescription to make much difference.
The result has gone beyond anything I could have hoped for: I am walking without discomfort, and as a bonus have noticed an improvement in my knees and lower back.
I would just like to say how grateful I am for what Melanie Godfrey has been able to do for me over the past 4 weeks. I had almost lost hope and now I am well on the way to a full recovery.
I have had a foot/ankle problem which goes back 12 months. I had an MRI scan, 2 Cortisone injections, several Acupuncture sessions and was referred from one foot Consultant to another. Then 6 months ago I had an investigative ankle arthroscopy which revealed 3 bone spurs not visible on the MRI scan. These were removed and I was signed off by the Surgeon 4 months ago. I had weekly physiotherapy for 3 months. All seemed well but then I could barely walk and was in intense pain despite taking a maximum dose of Ibuprofen. I saw my foot Surgeon, 2 Physiotherapists and an Osteopath and nobody could tell me what the problem was. By now I was on prescription painkillers and anti-inflammatories.
I saw Melanie at Sevenoaks Podiatry 4 weeks ago and everything has changed. On the very first meeting Melanie quickly assessed the problem as ‘compensating gait’ and 2 days later designed an orthotic to go in my trainers. I also wear a simple ankle brace Melanie suggested. As soon as I started to wear the orthotic and ankle brace I could walk again, not very far but far enough to give me my mobility back. It was amazing. I am still on prescription painkillers/anti-inflammatories but not for much longer.
My life has been completely changed and I cannot speak highly enough about what Melanie has already done for me.
I had suffered with verrucas for over 10 years when I came to Sevenoaks Podiatry. I had tried countless treatments at home; many traditional, some alternative and others more aggressive. However none were successful and I was at my wits end when the verrucas not only resisted all treatment but in fact started to spread.
I met Paul Studart initially in January and we embarked on what turned out to be just under a year long war on this highly resistant virus. It required persistence as well as knowledge of the best course of treatment to take over that period and Paul provided both with good humour, empathy and professionalism.
The Practice is efficient and always welcoming, providing a personal service but with professional expertise. Ironically I now miss my regular visits, but not the verrucas! Highly recommended.
